To truly provide value to your database, you need to give more value to your database than they’re giving you. Every conversation you have, piece of mail you send, etc., should focus on what value you provide.
On our team, for instance, one of the ways we provide value is by sending these videos twice a month. Additionally, we host about three events per year that we invite our entire database to. We also provide certain types of information, such as a list of reliable vendors. Furthermore, we’ve set up a tool shed in our farm that offers tools to our neighbors. If someone needs a power washer, we let them borrow ours.
In short, we provide value first, then ask for business.
So, create a plan that involves four valuable services you could provide to your database this year, and do it in a way where you can ask for business at the end. They will be happy to give it to you.
If you’d like to talk more about this subject or there’s anything else I can help you with, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’d love to speak with you.
